We are excited you have found the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO). We look forward to having you join our AYSO family and becoming part of the World’s Biggest Soccer Club! Our Fall season begins the first week of September after Labor Day and ends in November the week before Thanksgiving.

About AYSO

AYSO has been providing a world-class youth soccer program for more than fifty years, based on our Six Philosophies of Everyone Plays®, Balanced Teams, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship, Open Registration and Player Development. 

Built on the power of volunteer support, AYSO brings together community members to coach, referee, and support their local Regions with the ultimate goal of creating a fun, family-friendly environment where your child can grow and develop not only their soccer skills but their leadership and social skills for life. No prior soccer experience is required to join our program.

Key Dates for the Fall 2026 Season

• May 1, 2026: Fall Registration opens

• June 15, 2026: Early Bird Discount ends

• July 31, 2026: Last day to withdraw and request a cancellation refund minus AYSO National fee ($25) and online Service Charge fee ($3.50). NO REFUNDS OR CREDIT requests submitted after this date will be processed unless reason is justified and approved by the Regional Board. In some cases, players may be eligible for a partial refund or credit towards a future season. 

• August 15, 2026: Late Registration begins; Scholarship and financial aid applications due

• September 8-11, 2026: Practices begin

• September 12, 2026: First games of the season

• September 21, 2026: Registration Closes - no late applications will be accepted

Age Division Changes for the 2026–2027 Seasonal Year

What's Changing?

New for the 2026–2027 Seasonal Year, all U.S. soccer, including AYSO, is adopting a new age division structure aligned with US Soccer. Divisions will now be based on a seasonal year running August 1 – July 31, instead of the previous January–December birth year system. This nationwide update is designed to align youth soccer with the school year, helping players participate alongside classmates and simplifying age groups across all programs.

If your child was born between August and December and played this past year, they are the most likely to see a change in their assigned division. When you register, the system will automatically place your child in the correct division. You can also refer to the age division matrix below. It lists every division and the exact birthdate range for the 2026–2027 seasonal year.

How to Register

Click on the Register Now button at the top right of our website. Please note:

• If your player has previously played with Region 44, instead of creating an account, click on the 'Login' button to take you to a login page where you can login with your account credentials.

• If this is the player’s first time with Region 44, you will need to create an account and provide all the information needed to register.

Scroll to the row with the division (age group and gender) for the player you are registering for and click on the ‘+ Register Now’ button at the end of that row. If you are registering more than one player, pick any one to start with.

Be sure and complete all the steps and e-sign all the necessary forms to get to the payment page where you can pay with a credit card. Registration is not finalized until payment has been processed. 

Scholarships & Financial Aid

Withdrawals/Cancellations and Refunds 

The last day to withdraw and request a cancellation refund minus the AYSO National fee ($25) and online Service Charge fee ($3.50) is July 31, 2026. NO REFUNDS OR CREDIT requests submitted after this date will be processed unless reason is justified and approved by the Regional Board. In some cases, players may be eligible for a partial refund or credit towards a future season. 

To request a refund, please fill out the 2026 AYSO Region 44 Refund Request form. 

In an effort to keep costs low, AYSO is a volunteer-run organization! That said, we still have costs to rent fields, facilities, equipment, storage, uniforms, etc. which is why some fees are non-refundable. 

Waitlists

• Occasionally, we have so many players register that it exceeds the number of teams we have volunteer coaches for.  In these situations, we may waitlist players until we can find a roster spot for them.
• No payment is due if your player is put on the waitlist.
• You will receive an email when your player is removed from the waitlist, at which time you will need to return to your account to pay.  (Please watch for the email - if we don't get a reply after a few days, we will have to cancel your order and move on to the next waitlisted player.) 
• The best way to ensure that your player isn't waitlisted is to volunteer - please consider it!  No experience is necessary and we provide all the training and support you need.

Volunteering w/ AYSO Region 44

AYSO is an all-volunteer organization and we expect every parent to volunteer in some role to help us provide a successful and fun season for our players. All the coach, referee and board position roles need to be filled before the season starts to have everyone who signs up be able to play. We provide world-class training for all volunteer positions and the earlier you sign up we can reach out to have you fully certified and ready to go before the season kickoff. No prior experience is required for any of the roles. More information on referee and coach volunteering can be found here.
