We are excited you have found the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO). We look forward to having you join our AYSO family and becoming part of the World’s Biggest Soccer Club! Our Spring season begins on March 14, 2026. 

About AYSO

AYSO has been providing a world-class youth soccer program for more than fifty years, based on our Six Philosophies of Everyone Plays®, Balanced Teams, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship, Open Registration and Player Development. 

Built on the power of volunteer support, AYSO brings together community members to coach, referee, and support their local Regions with the ultimate goal of creating a fun, family-friendly environment where your child can grow and develop not only their soccer skills but their leadership and social skills for life. No prior soccer experience is required to join our program.

Key Dates for the Spring 2026 Season

• November 6, 2025: Registration opens

• December 15, 2025: Early Bird Discount ends

• January 31, 2026: Last day to withdraw and request a cancellation refund minus AYSO National fee ($25) and online Service Charge fee ($3.50). NO REFUNDS OR CREDIT requests submitted after this date will be processed unless reason is justified and approved by the Regional Board. In some cases, players may be eligible for a partial refund or credit towards a future season. 

• February 2, 2026: Late Registration begins; Scholarship and financial aid applications due

• February 28, 2026: Spring kickoff event at Fair Oaks Park

• March 9-13, 2026: Practices begin

• March 14, 2026: First games of the season

AYSO Age Divisions for Spring 2026 Season 

AYSO age divisions are determined by birth year not school grade level.

When making an inquiry about placement in an age division, please refer to the following chart and reference your child's birth year. Your child's team placement will be based upon the division that their birth date falls under.

How to Register

Click on the Register Now button at the top right of our website. Please note:

• If your player has previously played with Region 44, instead of creating an account, click on the 'Login' button to take you to a login page where you can login with your account credentials.

• If this is the player’s first time with Region 44, you will need to create an account and provide all the information needed to register.

Scroll to the row with the division (age group and gender) for the player you are registering for and click on the ‘+ Register Now’ button at the end of that row. If you are registering more than one player, pick any one to start with.

Be sure and complete all the steps and e-sign all the necessary forms to get to the payment page where you can pay with a credit card. Registration is not finalized until payment has been processed. 

Scholarships & Financial Aid

Our mission is to make the soccer experience accessible to all children. Sunnyvale AYSO offers financial aid scholarships to families in need. Financial aid is solely intended to assist in covering registration fees and cannot be requested to cover other expenses. Financial aid is offered at 50% of the registration fees and does not cover the National Player Fee of $25 or the $3.50 Service Charge Fee.

Withdrawals/Cancellations and Refunds 

The last day to withdraw and request a cancellation refund minus the AYSO National fee ($25) and online Service Charge fee ($3.50) is January 31, 2026. NO REFUNDS OR CREDIT requests submitted after this date will be processed unless reason is justified and approved by the Regional Board. In some cases, players may be eligible for a partial refund or credit towards a future season. 

To request a refund, please fill out the 2026 AYSO Region 44 Refund Request form. 

In an effort to keep costs low, AYSO is a volunteer-run organization! That said, we still have costs to rent fields, facilities, equipment, storage, uniforms, etc. which is why some fees are non-refundable. 

Volunteering w/ AYSO Region 44

AYSO is an all-volunteer organization and we expect every parent to volunteer in some role to help us provide a successful and fun season for our players. All the coach, referee and board position roles need to be filled before the season starts to have everyone who signs up be able to play. We provide world-class training for all volunteer positions and the earlier you sign up we can reach out to have you fully certified and ready to go before the season kickoff. No prior experience is required for any of the roles. More information on referee and coach volunteering can be found here.
